Wishes for happy holidays and a prosperous 2023.
We are happy to invite you to an online session scheduled on 08 January 2023 at 6.30 pm IST. Different from the usual webinars, this session is not only for the members but is mostly for children of age 6-15, to increase their enthusiasm for the conservation of species and habitats. Make sure that your children attend this. And encourage others to participate. The session will include some craft activity and quiz for children.
OUR TIGERS RETURN

Everybody had heard the story of Panna’s debacle. Still, virtually nobody seemed to know of the return of Tigers to Panna, its successful revival, and the sheer magnificence of the achievement.
The session provides an opportunity to know the turnaround story of Panna from Rangaiah Sreenivasa Murthy, IFS retd. with Peeyush Sekhsaria, co-authors of the book “OUR TIGERS RETURN” on the return of Tigers to Panna, a book for children but actually for readers of all ages!
Speakers:
Sreenivasa Murthy Rangaiah is a retired Indian Forest Service Officer. He served as Field Director of Panna Tiger Reserve in India between 2009 and 2015 and led the team that successfully revived the tiger population after the debacle. He received Bagh Mitra 2011 award from WWF, MP Gaurav Samman and CM’s Excellence Award from Madhya Pradesh State Government in 2016 and 2017, respectively, in acknowledgement of his contribution to Panna Tiger Revival. He was invited to Cambodia as an expert to share his experiences of Tiger Reintroduction, which wants to follow the Panna Model of Tiger Revival.
Peeyush Sekhsaria is a Delhi-based development professional; he is an architect and geographer by training. He writes a column, “Eureka”, on the histories of everyday objects for ‘The Hindu Young world’, publishes his everyday nature encounters in ‘Cycle’, a Hindi children’s magazine published from Bhopal and is the co-author of the children’s books, ‘Our Tigers Return’ and ‘Hamara Godavan, Hamari Shaan’.
