We are currently in 5th year of the magazine, and six issues have been published so far, which you can access through the link here. While Harnessing Nature is set to showcase the latest efforts on ecosystem management, we especially encourage articles on the mandate of the IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management from the commission members. Topics related to the mandate include (but are not limited to):
- Ecosystem Risk Assessment
- Ecosystem Restoration
- Nature-based Solutions (NbS)
- Cultural Practices and Ecosystem Management
- Ecosystem Governance
- Socio-ecological Resilience and Transformation
- Human Health and Ecosystem Management
Guidelines for contributions to the Harnessing Nature Magazine:
- Contributions are invited in any of these areas.
- Contributions can include descriptions of initiatives, projects, publications, or pressing issues.
- All contributions should be no longer than 1700 words.
- Please include an image with each contribution, along with credit to the photographer and subject and a statement that you have permission to use the image.
- The authors should ensure that their works are wholly original and if they have used the work and/or words of others, that they have cited or quoted them appropriately.
- The author should initially check the work for plagiarism, as Harnessing Nature checks for plagiarism at the prepublication phase before review.

- The submission deadline for articles is September 25, 2023.
Request all to follow the author’s guidelines properly to make the preprocessing and processing of the articles easier for the editorial team and adhere to the timelines. The submissions will be peer-reviewed according to IUCN guidelines and notify you of any necessary revisions within thirty days of receiving the article.
